Put on the full armor of God. This is the Christian outfit and you cannot walk with God closely until you put it on. The armor protects you from evil. Evil does not like it that you are getting free of the lies. Satan is the father of every lie and God is the father of every truth. Never be afraid of the truth. The truth sets us free from the slavery to the life. Stop lying to yourself. Stop telling yourself that you are not important, that you don’t have worth, that you are stupid and ugly. You are God’s perfect child. Created in his image. You are God’s creation. His work of art. His masterpiece. There is nothing wrong with you. You have everything that you need to be happy joyous and free. You do have a thorn in your side, a weakness that you have been trying to overcome. But God says that in your weakness, his love is made perfect. In the cross you are bearing, you are learning to be a healer. We need healers to be sensitive and there is nothing like walking through the pain to learn sensitivity. With this new sensitivity, you will lead thousands of people to the light. 1.The first thing we put on is the belt of the truth. Never lie for any reason. If you do, God walks out and Evil steps in and devours you. 2.Then we put on the breastplate or righteousness. That means to treat everyone as if he or she Jesus. Look into their eyes and see Jesus looking back at you. “What you do to the least of these you do to me.” Your job is to be a servant to all. 3. Fit your feet with the gospel of peace. Ask God into your life every morning and feel his love and peace come into your body, mind and spirit. Spread the good news to everyone who has ears to hear. God is alive. 4. Take up the shield of faith. Believe that God is working in your life. Even in the pain God is shaping you to be the person he needs you to be. He is always there loving you. “In all things God is working for the good of those who love him.” 5. Put on the helmet of salvation. God has saved us from our sin and set us free. We are not guilty. 6. Take up the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God and pray.
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Put on the full armor of God and know that you are safe.
